Welcome! At present the Narrative Trails team is busy building our first dApp, and our website is not getting a lot of love. While we make something fun and beautiful for you to experience the blockchain and find new ways to “touch grass”, we hope you will take a few minutes to indulge us and read about our big vision.

The blockchain provides a unique medium that can bring together interactions with businesses, individuals and art in ways that previously were not possible. Our long-term goal is to create narrative driven travel experiences that occur in the real world and are facilitated by blockchain technology. Each experience will bring together an economy of small local businesses, be place based, and allow the user to experience an amazing place through the lens of an artfully crafted narrative. At least that’s the goal.
At the moment much of the technological infrastructure we need to execute our big vision is still in beta stages. We aren’t waiting around for it to “get there” though. Instead, we’re doing a lot of our own beta testing right alongside those developers. Our approach is to create the building blocks for our big vision through a series of dApps that allow us to incrementally test and experiment necessary components. At present we are working on creating an NFT layer for the timeless activity of Letterboxing. We managed to snag a few awards in the Polkadot North America hackathon (Summer 2022) with our proof-of-concept, and were honored to receive 3rd Place in the Axelar challenge of the Moonbeam Connected Contracts hackathon. Stay tuned for more on this, as we look forward to more info and a product launch in 2023.
